Our ultimate favorite doll of all time reached 50. Yeah, Barbie is now 50 years old, yet still stunning and captivating. Our favorite doll, Barbie was first introduced at the New York Toy Fair in 1959. Now, Mattel wants to turn 2009 into “A Year of Remembrance” for her 50th Birthday. Her birthday bash happened last March 9 at Malibu Dream House.

All these years, she had 108 careers & and counting. Barbie had been an Olympic athlete, a Marine Corps sergeant, a dentist, an aerobics instructor, an astronaut and a rock star. She's amazing!

Barbie will remain young and beautiful just like old times!

Beauty Tips 101| Expiration of Cosmetics

Wondering what is the expiration date of your make up?

Once a cosmetic is opened that’s the time you’re counting the expiration date, because it is already prone to different bacteria and dirt. So, to free yourself from bacteria you must toss the product out if you noticed changes in color, smell and texture.

You should avoid using fingers as an applicator because you’re spreading bacteria, instead, use the product applicator or sponge. Usually foundation is good for 3 to 4 months only. Concealer may last up to 12 months if it is properly used. Facial powder, blush on and eyeshadow should be tossed out after a year same as lipgloss and lipstick. Mascara is good for 3 months, thrown immediately if it becomes dry. Organic or natural make-up should be used within 6 months since it do not contain preservatives.

Best way to avoid the early expiration of cosmetic “never, ever share make up”.
